Rise up against dictatorship, Atwoli says

A whopping 2million people from across East Africa could soon be mobilised to join the ongoing ‘walk-to-work’ and ‘hoot for change’ protests called by ‘Activists for Change’ if President Museveni does not “democratise Uganda”; East African Trade Union Chief Francis Atwoli has warned.

Uganda Correspondent has landed on a deadly 1986 memo titled “Rethink” which, at face value, appears to suggest that there may have been a ‘plan to eliminate northerners’ from Uganda and re-draw the country’s national boundary.

Dated November 14^th 1986 and referenced Sec/D.1/Pol.10, the deadly memo from someone who only identified him or herself as “Tremor 1”, possibly an alias or operational code name, (more…)

President Yoweri Museveni, who has just embarked on a fresh five year term of office that will take his total tenure to thirty years, has officially joined the unfashionable club of the world’s most ‘enduring dictators’, the American CBS news has said.
