Journalist kidnapped by state security operatives

Government security agents this month lured a Journalist into a number of bogus interview appointments, kidnapped him as soon as he arrived at one of the bogus interview venues, and then held him incommunicado for several days without charge, Human Rights Watch [HRW] has revealed.

Fuel crisis: Flying School students planning strike

Doctors demand 3million shillings pay rise

MBALE – Despite attempts by the Minister of Health Dr Christine Ondroa to convince them not to press for high pay, the medical staff pushed forward with their demand for a salary pay rise of at least 3million shillings for every Doctor in the country.
In an exclusive interview with Uganda Correspondent at his office, the Principal Hospital Administrator for Mbale regional referral hospital
David Obol Otori said, “…all medical staff need to be well remunerated so that they don’t opt to open their own private clinics”.

Museveni urged to emulate Western democracy

‘Museveni has become a Monster’ – Beti Kamya

The Uganda Federal Alliance [UFA] Party President Ms Beti Olive Namisango Kamya, who has been out of the country for more than three weeks, has taken her fight with Museveni a step further by declaring that Museveni is a monster who must be removed by all means.
