Museveni can sleep with our wives and we thank him
By Ishmael Kyambadde
27th Feb 2012: The meeting began soon, since my friend seemed to have been well equipped this week. Thence he began! “Look my friend, the rogue government in Uganda is now disintegrating with Ministers resigning. But the Chief Executive who sanctioned all their actions is pleading innocence. Isn’t the information written everywhere in the Ugandan newspapers?” he asked.
My answer was simple and to the point. I told my friend that I was thoroughly convinced by the mathematical formula he produced two weeks ago to explain Ugandan politics. This cooled things off for a little while. But my friend wasn’t done yet. He had something new up his sleeve.
“…Well my friend,” he said, before adding that, “…what matters most in Uganda now is not whether there are three arms or six arms of government. What matters most is the profound need to retain the “Chief Thief” by pouring innocence upon him, be it through the PAC, the NRM Caucus, or even through some Ugandans who are intoxicated by power and greed.”
And he went on: “…You need to read Timothy Kalyegira and Fredrick Masiga’s latest expose in the Daily Monitor of Sunday February 19, 2012. The articles were titled “How about the Patron Saint of Corruption” and “Makubuya, Bbumba are not innocent lamps of sacrifice” respectively.” he said.
“Brilliant, I will read them online”, I retorted. “…Did you really understand what I meant when I said it doesn’t matter whether there are three or six arms of government in Uganda”, my friend asked me again, looking a little disturbed by my short answers. Not really, I confessed to my friend.
“..In my view, Uganda is now run by the presidency, the army council, the council of presidential advisors, the NRM caucus, parliament, and the Judiciary. The first three and meant to force dependence, not independence”, my friend said.
“You are very wrong”, I told my friend. “The truth is this. There is only one government arm in Uganda. That arm is Museveni. Without Museveni, there is no government, and there is no Uganda. We are totally at his mercy. If he decides to sell all of us into slavery, or if he decides to sleep with our wives, we shall have no option but to salute him in appreciation”, I told my friend.
“Not my wife. I will kill the mother f*****”, my friend shot back with venomous anger written all over his ageing face. “…I need to go check on wife”, my friend excused himself and left. END.
