Inspector Ariong deserved his bloody death

By David Kasirye

26th March 2012: The inevitable has happened – and it’s only the beginning.  We saw it coming – and we warned Kayihura about it.  We warned him that the vicious violence that his men are consistently unleashing on peaceful Ugandans will embolden even the “balokole” into adopting deadly self defence mechanisms – “dawa ya moto ni moto”; or fight fire with fire!

The death of Asst Inspector of Police John Bosco Ariong at the hands of as yet unknown assailants has proved us right.  Kayihura and his boss Museveni have pushed the patience of ordinary Ugandans to breaking point.  We have lost count of how many innocent Ugandans have been gunned down in cold blood by Kayihura’s thugs.

Obviously, our thoughts and prayers must go out to Ariong’s family.  No one in their right mind would happily wish suffering upon Ariong’s children after his inevitable death – but suffer they must, all because of Ariong’s own stupidity.

And let me also say this without remorse or shame.  Those who offer themselves, or allow themselves to be used as blind attack dogs by a vicious tyrant like Museveni who is ready to kill to remain in power deserve to die a sad and painful death like Inspector John Bosco Ariong.

As an individual, I say Ariong’s soul never rest in peace!  He had the choice to abandon Kayihura and his murderous gang for another career but he chose to remain in the brutal police force – constantly harassing Ugandans.  For that, he clearly deserved the grisly death that he suffered at the hands of Ugandans whose patience had finally snapped.

This should be a great lesson to other police officers like Omala and Kaweesi.  When the moment comes, none of you will be spared – and that is a guarantee.  No one ever wanted it to come to this.  But you pushed Ugandans into it.

Like Hon Nandala Mafabi said, “…how do you attempt to arrest a Mayor who is touring his city? To inspect drainage and a road do you have to be in a car?”  That is exactly how stupid Kayihura, Ariong, Kaweesi, and Omala look in the eyes of Uganda.  All of them deserve to die like Ariong, and I make absolutely no apologies for wishing death upon them.

Did they apologise when they shot our brothers during the Kasubi Tombs fire?  Did they apologise when they shot a pregnant woman in the stomach on Entebbe road?  Did they apologise when they shot two year old Juliana Nalwanga from her house in Masaka?  Did they apologise when they shot Besigye’s supporter outside Kabaka’s palace in Mengo in 2001?  Never!

Without remorse, they simply dance on the graves of our brothers and sisters that they have killed – promising even more death to anyone who dares to challenge their master Yoweri Museveni – the great “Ssabalanyi” from Rwakitura.  Ugandans are sending a very clear and simple message to Museveni – and it says:

If you don’t stop brutalising us, Rwakitura and all its inhabitants will be a heap of ash and rotting corpses by the time the oppressed people of Uganda are done with it.  If in doubt, just wait and see!  END.  Please login to www.ugandacorrespondent.com every Monday to read our top stories and anytime mid-week for our news updates.
