Clinton tells Museveni to consider his legacy

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has urged President Yoweri Museveni to “consider his legacy” – a phrase which some analysts have interpreted to mean a diplomatic request to President Museveni to retire from the presidency before he is pushed out disgracefully.
Mrs Clinton met the president last Friday as part of a seven-nation African tour that began in Senegal on Wednesday last week. She also thanked Museveni for sending Ugandan troops to Somalia as part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). (more…)
