Conservative President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said Uganda “…cannot accept the promotion of homosexuality as if it’s a good thing.”  The president however also said gay people should not be killed or persecuted, as MPs continue to consider a controversial Anti-Homosexuality Bill.

Anti-gay protestor calls for death penalty

Uganda’s biggest tabloid newspaper The Red Pepper last week published graphic pornographic pictures of a man allegedly having gay sex with a sixteen year old boy.  In just a few hours, the news had spread across the entire city like the proverbial wild fire.

Ministers: All accused of corruption
