Janet Museveni’s constituency kicks out FDC agents

The chaos that is engulfing the country has seen FDC polling agents kicked out of several polling stations in Janet Museveni’s Ruhama Constituency, Uganda Correspondent can exclusively reveal.

Mr. Augustine Ruzindana, FDC’s Secretary for Research, who is also the party’s candidate for the Ruhama Constituency parliamentary seat, has told this reporter that, “…the situation is still deteriorating in the constituency”.

In particular, Ruzindana said, “…FDC agents have been kicked out of a number of polling stations in Ruhaama Constituency like Rwendahi, Karukwanzi, Kanyerere, Kitashekwa, and Nyakahita.  At Kanyerere polling station, (more…)

The government has ordered all mobile phone companies operating in Uganda to intercept key words like ‘Egypt’, ‘People Power’, and ‘Bullet’ from all their short message services or SMS, Reuters News Agency has reported.

Govt arrests Besigye’s poll agents in Ntungamo

Yesterday, 16th February at about 6.30pm, the government arrested 27 FDC supporters and poll agents at Kataraka.  The group were arrested from Mr. John Behumbiza’s house.  Mr. Behumbiza is the Chairman of Dr. Besigye’s Nyakyera Campaign Task Force.
